Shivapuri Hiking, your close experience with nature, located towards northern and northwestern Kathmandu valley.This Hike is perfect before going to trekking it will be kind off warm-up for those who are going to trek and have that 1 spear day.From the Shivapuri National Parks you can see the Langtang Himalayan ranges and different mountains like:Ganesh Himal,Langtang Lirung,Dorji Lakpa and many more.Shivapuri is the second highest peak among the kathmandu valley and stands at the elevation of 2732m covering an area of 159 sq km.The hike is perfect for the bird watcher as different types of birds are found and is the most preferred destination for bird watchers.
It is the youngest park well established in 2002 surrounded by Nuwakot and Sindupalchok districts. Shivapuri national park is blessed with much vegetation like mushroom, floral and endemic plants as well. Also rich in wild animals and birds like Himalayan black bear, jungle cat, golden jackal and many birds too.

We will begin our journey by driving to the Budhanilkantha which is the holy site of Lord Bishnu and after walking for like 10-15 min we will reach army checkpoint from where we have to buy the permits from this point our official hike starts.On the way to the shivapuri peaks,there is a place called Bagdwar which is the source of holy river Bagmati flowing nearby holy pilgrimage place Pashupatinath.
