Trip Overview

The Langtang  valley and Gosainkunda lake  are located to the  147km north of Kathmandu in langtang national park . Inhabited by Tibetans migrants, Tamangs and Sherpas people.Passing through the lush Rhododendrons forest, filled with conifers and oaks we will have plenty of opportunities to immerse yourself in the natural surroundings and wildlife. The stunning mountain views of Langtang Lerung,(Alt 7230m) Yala peak,(Alt 5530m) Ganchhepu  Himal range,(Alt 74220m) Nyakhang peaks. (Alt 5840m) Gosainkunda Lake,(Alt 4330m) GaneshHimal range,(Alt7422m.) Manaslu ranges(Alt 8176km) are of short enlists to this trek. The region is surrounded by 108 beautiful and still, lakes and Gosainkunda is one of them.

The region has Tibetan migrants with Sherpa inhabitant. Lhosar (January/February) and Dumji (June/July) are the main festivals celebrated by Sherpa. In the mean time of June and July, 1000 of pilgrims visit in gosaikunda lake .  Dhami and jhakri, one of the oldest customary of the region plunge Trishul (tri-sectional pointed metal made, an instrument), believed to be wielded by Lord Shiva) to pour water.  The true cultural feel is at Langtang village. A wash with fluttering prayer flags, brightly painted chortens, many walls, and stones carved with the Tibetan mantra ‘Om Mani Padme Hum’. You will be sure to receive a gracious welcome from the yak herders.

After crossing the  gosaikunda Laurebinae pass (4600m), we trek  back via another route to this region. This course take us back to Kathmandu via Kutumsang, Chisapani and finally Kathmandu.

The April 25 and 12 May 2015 Nepal earthquake have caused major casualty in the daily lifestyle of an inhabitant, monasteries, Gumbas other various sectors of the region. Your trips contributions will be implicated enhance the re-constructional activities.

Itinerary

Our journey is maintained focusing Total Days of trip, distance, geography, and individual capable efforts. We will hike 4-8 hours per day. Each day hike is balanced with scheduled breakfast, launch, and dinner in pre destined hotel, Guest House, camp and locality.

Day 2

Drive to Sybrubensi

We set off early in the morning. Drive from bus park around 6 to 7 hour to Sybrubesi .  Approximately 3 hour descending  to trisul bazar and continue to drive to  Dunche –Sybrubesi . Your evening is free and you can visit the local village.

Day 3

Trek to Lama hotel

After breakfast, we trek, ascending gently for 2 to 3 hour to Pahiro ; where we take lunch. After lunch, we trek for a further 2 hours, up to Lama hotel. Most of the day we will walk through the beautiful bamboo and rhododendron forest, where hemlock, pine trees and many more are in abundance. The Lama hotel is surrounded by the forest and benefits from nearby river running close-by.

Day 4

Trek to Langtang gaun

We start the day, slowly trekking further up into the forest; along the way we will see many species of birds, monkey and cattle.  We continue to walk to   Godatabel, approximately 2 hours.   At Godatabel we have great views of Langtang Lerung and Naya Khang peak . As we leave the forestry behind, we walk for another 2 hours before we reach Lantang  Gaun  where we stay at a local tea house.

Day 5

Trek to Kyanjing

Today is a short day and we will take it slowly as we transition to higher altitude.  The trail leads gently up to Kynjing Gumpa, for around 2 – 3 hour. Along the way we will have a great view of Gamchhepu Himal   Ganjala peak , Lagtang Lirung  glacier and Kyanging Ri  peak. Kyanging  is a warm, welcoming and beautiful location offering many tea houses, comfort accommodation , great views, good food. Here you can spend the rest of your afternoon and evening as you wish.

Day 6

Exploration day, 2/3hrs hike to kyanjig -ri view point for see the whole mountain range .

3-4 hoursAltitude 4800mHome stay

Today is your must valuable day, after breakfast we take the 3 to 4 hour hike to Kyanging Ri  view point (4800M. )   From this vantage point, you will have stunning  views of  most of the  Himalaya  peaks including Yala  peak. We trek back down to Kyanging village, to our tea house and the rest of the afternoon is yours to do as you wish.

Day 7

Trek back to Lama hotel

6-7 hoursAltitude 2445mHome stay

We trek back down to the Lama hotel, We follow the same route down as we did coming up. Our descent takes around 6-7 hour. On the way down we will stop for lunch.

Day 8

Trek to Thulo Sybru

Today is another short day. The trail steadily descends for around 2 hours until we reach Pohiro.  We then ascend up to Thulo Sybru for around 3 hours.

Day 9

Trek to Cholang Party

Today we are mostly ascending along the route to Cholang Party. We will walk into the forest and through rich farmland. We will also get great views of Ganesh Himal and Langtang Lirung along the way.

Day 10

Trek to Gosainkunda lake

This morning we will ascend all the way up to Laurebinaee pass which will take us around 3 hours. The pass is located at (4600m). We then continue to walk slowly for another 2 hours up to Gosaikunda.  Gosaikunda boasts one of the beautiful lakes   of the Himalaya region.  Our hotel for the night also has good views of the lake. The afternoon is yours to explore the lakes.

Day 11

Trek to Ghopte, over the laurebinae pass (Alt4600m.)

7-8 hoursAltitude 3430mHome stay

Today is a long day of walking and at altitude. The effort will be worth it with an abundance of fantastic views of the Himalaya peaks, including Surya peak and the lakes. We climb up this morning on to the pass at 4600m, which will take around 1-1.5 hours. Then we slowly start to descend on the other side for around 2.5  hours. We take lunch and continue to follow an undulating terrain until we reach Gopte after 2-3 hour.

Day 12

Trek to Kutumsang via thadepati .

5-6 hoursAltitude 2450mHome stay

We start our day with an ascent to Thadepati which takes us around 1 hour. Here we will have great views of many peaks once again. We then descend into Kutumsang that takes around 4 hours. For most of the day we will be walking, surrounded by lush forests and vegetation. Kutumsang is a beautiful village  which we are sure you will want to explore.

Day 13

Trek to Chisapani

5-6 hoursAltitude 2100mHome stay

This part of the trail descends until we get to Gol Bhanjyang around 1.5-2 hours. The terrain undulates, ascends and then descends for the rest of the day, finally ascending into Chisapani after 4 hours. Chisapani is located in a unique location, with great vantage points of the east Nepal mountains range.

Day 14

Trek back to Kathmandu

Fingers crossed, if the weather is favorable first thing, we will have a stunning view of the Mount Everest range. The trail this morning descends through Shivapuri national park. A further 2 hours descent to Sundarijal  which lands us back, very close to Kathmandu; only 1 hour drive back to the city.

You cannot get insurance in Nepal. The insurance conditions for joining any of our tours includes protection against comprehensive investments that are likely to occur such as medical issues or accident that can include air ambulance and treatment costs. We do not arrange or sell insurance. Travel insurance assures your trip relaxation. Sickness, injury, emergency treatment and evacuation are important subject and matter in expeditions. Therefore, we highly recommend having travel insurance especially when you sign for the Himalayan glacier. Also, be careful when choosing insurance policy as some are special exceptions for adventure. Before taking insurance be sure that company has good knowledge of High Gran Tourism' (HGT) adventure itinerary you are going to carry out and is to your liking to cover all activities being undertaken in the tour. For like to cover emergency air ambulance rescue including medical costs if you are planning expedition in the Himalayas. You have to send your insurance certificate to us or you can carry with you when you come on the tour.
Indeed foods and water are hygienic in the lodges, camp, and hotels. We provide only hygienic foods prepared on lodges. Our team has a cook to assist you fresh and hygienic food on the trek and hike. Further, to assure ourselves we check goods and ingredients before preparing in the kitchen. Most of the local teahouse has simply trained but experienced cook. However, if you prefer well trained and 5-star class cook then we can arrange accordingly with additional cost. You will be provided boiled water or sealed water bottles in the lodges. You can also purify the water with tablets. On HGT’s camp, we will have technically and practically well trained and experienced guides, cook, kitchen staffs and porters. Varieties of food will be prepared which are hygienic and full of ingredients.
You can have both warm and light clothes of comfortable and casual styles as Nepal has a wide range of climates. Warm woolen clothes are required in mountain areas and cotton cloths in lower altitudes. You can even buy clothes in Nepal and we will assist you in what types of clothes to purchase.
Yes, we have ATM facilities mainly in cities like Kathmandu, Pokhara, Dharan and Butwal and other major as well in developed cities and community. In Nepal VISA, MASTERCARD and American Express are popularly accepted cards, both Debit and Credit cards are accepted.

One has many other things in Nepal besides trekking and hiking in Nepal. At some least part of the country, people celebrate festivals. Nepal is also known as land of festivals. Nepal’s festivals are full of joyous. Kathmandu valley rich in Newari heritages and cultures celebrates festivals almost every day in a year. Other parts of the country also have their own fanfare. One can check Nepali Calendar for major festivals details and accord tour and visits accordingly. Nepal is a complete garden of multi-culture, multi-language and vibrant multi-festive. As surrounded by geographical unique and appealing features, Nepal is as well encircled with vibrant and multi-religious festivals and celebrations.
