Which is not possible to manage locally in kadbari or Tumblingtar, But those tourists who also like to feel a bit of Nepali way, sleeping in dometry hall sharing with homestay families and other trekkers, Eat basic Nepali food Dal Bhat and trek costs cheaper than they can also trek nowadays in Makalu with hiring just guides and porter. Makalu base camp, and Sherpini –col pass trek in details:

Makalu Barun national park is another hardcore adventure trip called sherpani-col high pass trek and this over 6000m. Adventure high pass trek most probably worlds tough trek, in between Makalu base camp trek and sherpani-col high pass trek up to until Makalu base camp daily itinerary is same but sherpani-col pass separated from Makalu base camps like in given below details and Makalu base camp return same way back to tumlingtar to get to the starting point of Makalu base camp trek and sherpani-col pass trek, we need to fly from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar it takes 55 minute which is the lowest altitude of this high adventure trek 450m, located in province 1 eastern Nepal, Sankhuwasava district’s Airport Tumlingtar

following Arun river for a while and take right side up towards Bhotebash via mane bhanjyang, once you are in Bhotebash you feel a little bit cooler in the hillside after some hours driving in hot temperature. While you reach the hillside than a beautiful place called Chichila from where you can see Makalu mountain range in distance, then again you down to num which is the last point of driving. Tumblingtar to num driving it takes around 4 to 5 hours. So you must stay in num for overnight to prepare for walking to Makalu base camp. Basic lodge in num, at least you can have good sleep and get some common Nepali food as well as some Chinese food. Next is for Seduwa which goes steep down again to Arun River around 600m.altitude and steep up to Seduwa, in 7 to 8 hours you can reach in Seduwa which is mostly walking in lots of sweating all day. Seduwa to Tashi gaun is easy to walk for a few hours and preparing for some bigger walk. After staying in Tashigaun next is for kongma dada. Which is big up around 8 to 10 hour take to reach in Kongma dada throughout forest walking all day? This day is good warming up for altitude and bit of training for Sherpani-col pass. Kongma-la to cross to the next day which is not that high pass but ground fugue most of the time and that makes little difficult to climb up and down to Dobato. This is again a big day and takes around 9 to 10 hours but can be less than an hour if the weather is clean. Once After Dobato, it is just down to Barun river and easy up to Yangri kharja, which is beautiful Makalu valley Yangri kharka and Makalu base camp valley it is the most beautiful scenery of Makalu range mountain day by day more and more once you reach in Makalu base camp it is just amazing beautiful of world top 5 big mountain base camp. Explore the barun glacier and rest is needed for the next destination.

Enjoying in a base camp then you go towards Swiss camp, walking distance looks not so long but walking into glacier stone makes it harder but still possible to make it by 4 to 5 hours with enjoying the front of Makalu mountain walking.

Swiss camp to high camp it is harder to accent up rocky hillside walking. 5600m. Non as called sherpani-col high camp located in the front for huge Iceland. Preparing for next to sherpani -col pass you need to acclimatize here for climbing training and get used to the altitude. Guide and climbing guide may prepare for the fixed rope to top off of sherpani -col top to make it easier for the next day to everyone. Early Morning Starts from high camp to sherpani -col top next is a challenging job. It may take 7 to 8 hours to reach the top. First 5 to 6 hour you can manage to reach the button of sherpani-col, every step after high camp sherpani-col top looks very near but due to crevasses   and hard snow makes it harder to keep walking somehow after struggling some hours lack of oxygen  to accent to button of sherpani-col then you have to go through rope to top for 200meters.untill top to reach its ok it is not very steep but still for porters to climb up it is not easy with carrying load once you are in top of sherpani -col at 6190 meters you can see west -col and huge ice field of baruntse camp ii in the west and stunning view of mount makalu it is always with you to go to camp site now it takes time because 250m.steep rocky part decent, here everyone need to go turn by turn normally guide make decision first to cross Clint and after other sherpa, kitchen crew  and porters carrying down potters load is most hard work, if few meter bag took wrong direction then bag can fall down to deep crevasses which is after woods very hard to pullback to right direction and it need many man power, so one person stay in turning point of ice fall and one person in the button to collect safely and one person stay in top manage load to send slowly down walking to baruntse camp ii it takes hours and hours. Looks like 10 times bigger than a football stadium it is huge ice field end of the field it is camp ii located where you spent overnight .similar strategy like Sherpani- col high camp, here also climbing guide and other crews go to prepare for west-col small accent and long descent for next day to make sure rope condition and other preparation.

This place is most probably one of the most beautiful places in this hole adventure trip.lap of barunte to sleep with seeing massif mount makalu is definitely there is no other place to something similar like this you are sleeping here over 6000m,so this can be tired and hard to sleep in this altitude in next morning  descending down  from west-col it is most hard pass in this trip among other passes  around 300 meter to decent street to baruntse camp i from west –col during descending time lose rock may fall and can hit anybody so you need to be careful personally too descending method are same as sherpani-col, guide need to sent  down clients first one by one and then after other crew member and potters load via rope even completely reach in the button of west-col still you need to be careful to falling crevasse, land and trail shape are always changing due to  heavy avalanche  during heavy snowfall time, doing hard job to decent down to  baruntse camp I then you will  more decent down to baruntse high camp for overnight stay, this day could be the hardest day no doubt. Next Days for amphu laptsa high camp which day is will be no high pass, just trek up to high camp for 5 to 6 hours and camp then one more day here is rest and prepare for another high pass Amphu laptsa(5900m.).here again, you sleep in 5400m but by this time you sleep more night in over 500m.so comfortably you can relaxing sleep. from high camp to amphu laptsa it takes around 2 to 3-hour maximum to reach on top, near the top here again you need to climb via rope but this one is easier and much safe the last pass of this trip in top when you reach you can again start seeing Everest regions mountain, which is completely different than previously you were seeing decent down from amphu laptsa top again one more last hard work which is 200 to 250 meter steep down south and turn  north to descend by rope finally you are in chhukung then difficult part of this trek is finished here than you will trek decend to Lukla fewer days and final last day of this trek you will take a short flight to Kathmandu from Lukla with great trekking experience with nature explore trek team

Temperature:

September: Trekking an Annapurna circuit in September is a good choice, and about the temperature it depends where you are,  if you are in mountain area then it will be bit chill in morning and evening but if you are in the lower part of Nepal then September is in  Nepal just cross the monsoon and starting autumn and we can fell still a bit of monsoon temperature so in September, an Annapurna circuit trek will be 23 to 25 degree during the day and at night 17 to 20 in the begging of the trek and when you reach near Annapurna Mountains then it will be 15 to 17 during the day and at night 12 to 13 Celsius in September.

An Annapurna circuit trek you can get verities of food and drinks, in every tea house and homestay you can choose food from the menu card, they gave fixed food and drinks menu, with fix price,  they can cook all types of food like Nepali, chemises, Indian, American continental, but we suggest you please ask them to cook organic Nepali food, like bread items, vegetable, rice, Champa porridge, fruits which they grew up in their won investments in the garden and your money will go directly to them and it will be a big support to them. we shall also say, in the beginning, part of the trek you can get a fresh vegetable and more fresh food, and when you go in mountain then you can’t get as much like before, because of they can’t grow the fresh vegetable every time in mountain due to the climate and temperature change, and they have to store then food and vegetable for pick season.

Also, hire a guide means you are giving a job for Nepali and make him busy that is your great support for the nation. Mt. Makalu (alt.8416m) (Mt. Makalu (alt. 8416m)

Makalu Base Camp trek is an absolutely amazing, still very untouched area in the northwestern corner of the Sankhuwasabha district. To the west, it is bordered by the Everest region, to the north by Tibet, to the east by the Arun River and to the south by the Sabha River. It just so happens that this very pristine area was turned into a national park and conservation area in the early 1990s. The park is still at its beginning stages. Though struggling to make its mark, it has done fairly well. Unlike the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP), the Makalu Barun Conservation Project (MBCP) is set up differently. Makalu-Barun National Park, a virtually uninhabited 1500-km2 area of Eastern Nepal, is very close to virgin wilderness. This remote terrain stretches east from Sagarmatha (Mt. Everest) National Park, between the high plateau of Tibet and the deep subtropical gorge carved by the Arun River. There are spectacular views of rugged Himalayan peaks, including Mt. Makalu (8463m), fifth highest in the world, Mt. Chamlang (7319 m) and Mt. Baruntse (7129m). Within 40 km, these high peaks descend to the Arun River at 670m. The Makalu-Barun Valley provides stunning contrasts, where high waterfalls cascade into deep gorges, craggy rocks rise from lush green forests, and colorful flowers bloom beneath white snow peaks read more

Wildlife is in abundance in this area, for example, Blue Sheep, masked deer, and the snow leopard.  There are also many Yaks are in this area. After a week we encounter the area where the Sherpas culture exists.  From Pangpema we will see the north face of Kanchenjunga.  Traversing the remote and rarely visited northeastern corner of Nepal, our route leads through picturesque farmland, green alpine valleys, rhododendron and bamboo forests, and across High Mountain passes. Beyond the attractive Tibetan settlement of Ghunsa, with its sturdy wooden houses, numerous prayer flags, and smiling villagers, we skirt the incredible northern flank of Jannu (7710m).  From Pang Bema (5140m), the base camp, we enjoy the breath-taking view of the formidable north face of Kanchenjunga.  With this trek being medium-difficult you will have an amazing adventure. read more

October and November, the temperature is perfect for travel to visit Nepal; we highly suggest you please make your holiday plane in these months.  On the side of the mountain, the temperature will be 18 to 20 during the way and at night 14 to 16 in October, but in November the temperature will fall in the mountainside to 13 to 15 during the day and night time 8 to 10. Also, its depend in which place you are going for trekking or climbing?, if you are in higher place like Everest region, Annapurna region,  Manaslu region,  Kanchenjunga region, Makalu region then it could be colder than in lower place of the trek, as much as you go higher the temperature will be also colder, but lower parts of Nepal or in city areas such as Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, and Bardia place are hotter like still summer, you won’t feel colder.

So about the temperature in Nepal it depends on which place you go, if you go adventure trek, peak climbing, high passes trek then off course it will be colder. So the weather is never predictable, we highly suggest you please prepare well and bring warm and nice clothes for trekking or climbing in Nepal.

Everest Base Camp Overview

Discover the Khumbu area of Nepal, also known as the Sagarmatha National Park through our Discover open group expedition between mid-March to early May and late September to early November. EXPED does not operate EBC during Nepal’s monsoon period or in the winter.

Nepal hosts 8 of the World’s highest peaks, including the highest, Mount Everest. Trekking deep into the Himalayan Kingdom, the Khumbu region reveals stunning mountain views and the discovery of Nepal’s famous Sherpa’s. These wonderful friendly mountain people originally migrated in the late 1400’s / early 1500’s from eastern Tibet, by crossing over the Himalayan Mountains and settled in Nepal. They established their culture and lifestyle, which is known worldwide today for its simplicity, hospitality and heartwarming communities.

‘NEPAL’ stands for ‘Never Ending Peace and Love’

You will be met on arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu-Nepal, and transferred to Hotel in Kathmandu for a 2 night stay. An evening welcome meal will be awaiting you. On the third day, early morning, you will be transferred and flown out to Lukla, a guaranteed interesting experience, where the EBC Trek begins. If possible, try and sit on the left side of the airplane as you will see your first view of the Everest region better.

Once landed at Lukla, your porters will be waiting for you. A quick final double check to ensure you has everything and you are on your way. The trek now starts in earnest. On the first day of the trek, most of the trail tends to be downhill but remember, ‘Nepali Flat’ means a lot of little ups and downs that generally gain no overall height in altitude.

The following day is very different and an awesome experience. Most of the day is taken up with repeatedly crossing the valley by magnificent wire bridges, which span the DudhKoshi River. You are now climbing steeply up towards Namche Bazaar, which is the capital of the Khumbu region. Namche will surprise you as it is reasonably large town. You’ll find good internet and Wifi connection here, as well as a great iily coffee and pastry. Take advantage of your acclimatization break here and enjoy your short stay of rest. From here on, the trek gets tougher and the facilities become thinner on the ground.

On leaving Namche, you will drop down before climbing up to reach Tengboche. Here you will find an incredible monastery and more jaw dropping views of AmaDablam, Lohtse and Everest. Trekking onwards, the next pause is Pheriche and then GorakShep. This is your last stop before Everest Base Camp. GorakShep is an isolated village set in a barren looking landscape. However, the bare rock strewn glacial zone has its own awesome natural beauty that only post glacial landscapes can achieve. Behind GorakShep, Kala Patter towers at an altitude of 5,545m, which is your next trek. The views of Everest are stunning and will leave you in awe. It is from GorakShep that you approach Everest Base Camp direct. The terrain you trek is reasonably flat but very rough and rocky on the approach. Once you arrive at EBC, you will rest for a while. Find the 2019 inscribed rock and take those photographs to show off your magnificent achievement.
