The Kanchenjunga North Base Camp Trek is a challenging and remote trekking route that will take you to the eastern part of Nepal. Kanchenjunga (8598m) is the world’s third-highest mountain. Jannu (Kumbhakarna), Chhang Himal, and many more snowy peaks are here. We will encounter the Limbu and Rai inhabitants. Ubhauli and Udhauli are their main festivals. These festivals in October and May are celebrations of harvesting the crops and sowing the crops from the fields and bringing them to their homes, respectively. The Brahmin and Chettri celebrate festivals like Tihar, Dashain, Teej, Janaipurna, and many others following the Hindu religion. However, cultural and traditional insight can be witnessed only in the meantime. Ghurkhas are recruited from this area.
During the Kanchenjunga North Base Camp trek, you can encounter wild animals such as blue sheep, musk deer, and snow leopards, which are abundant wildlife in this area. There are also many yaks in this area. This package has picturesque farmland, green alpine valleys, and rhododendron and bamboo forests. We skirt the incredible northern flank of Jannu (7710m), Pang Bema (5140m), and the base camp. We enjoy the breathtaking view of the formidable north face of Kanchenjunga.
