Chulu West Peak Climbing (6419m) is located in the Annapurna region, North West of Nepal. The area is well renowned for its beautiful scenery. Chulu West Peak trekking passes through the countryside Jagat, Daparani, Chame, and waterfalls are amongst a few to mention. Excellent views of Annapurna ll alt.7937m, 26040ft), Lamjung Himal, and the Manaslu range are refreshing sights. Ethnic groups of the Gurung, Magar, Tamang, and Chhetri communities are adorable residents in this region. Being able to experience the communities’ culture every day is most often reported as a keen favorite of the trip. Muktinath, Jomsom, and back via Pokhara to Katmandu is a ticket way to our return.
We will have our hike for about 9-10 hours from the base camp. The Chulu Peak is technically a moderate challenge and requires basic mountaineering skills. Accommodation during Chulu West peak climbing
Chulu West Peak climbing offers a mix of accommodations , starting with comfortable hotels or guesthouses in Kathmandu before the Trek. Once on the Annapurna Circuit, trekkers stay in the traditional tea houses or lodges in villages like Pisang, Manang and the Yak Kharka. These types of tea houses provide simple yet comfortable lodging , often with the shared rooms, basic meals and occasionally hot showers.
As you climb higher towards the Chulu west base camp at around 4,900m , the accommodation shifts to tented camps. At the base camp and high camp, climbers sleep in the tents provided by the trekking agency and the meals are provided by the support teams. After the summit attempt , climbers typically descend back to base camp or high camp for another night of climbing. Upon returning to Kathmandu after the climb trekkers can relax in the comfortable hotel.
Transportation during Chulu west peak climbing
The journey to Chulu West peak climbing begins in Kathmandu , which is accessible by the numerous flights. From Kathmandu , trekkers can reach the starting point of the trek, Besisahar using various transportation methods. Local buses or tourist buses typically take around 6 to 8 hrs to cover this distance.
For a more comfortable and quicker option , hiring a private jeep or vehicle is recommended. Alternatively trekkers can take a flight to Pokhara followed by a drive to Besisahar.From Besisahar , the trek continues towards the Annapurna Circuit , passing through the village and scenic landscapes, eventually leading the base of the Chulu west peak.
