Day 01 Drive from Kathmandu to Dharapani
Today, we will begin our journey with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Dharapani at an altitude of 1,900 meters. Driving towards the Annapurna region, the road goes through rivers, green hills, villages and farmlands.
We will go through Besisahar and then proceed on a mountain road boasting of beautiful natural scenery on the way.
We will have the opportunity to see waterfalls, suspension bridges and the life of the nearby villages along the way. Day 02 Trek from Dharapani to Chame
Today, we begin trekking at Dharapani and head towards Chame, which is 2,600 meters. The path passes through forests, tiny villages and suspension bridges of Marsyangdi River. We will walk along beautiful paths on the mountains, inhaling and exhaling fresh mountain air and observing the changes of scenery. On the journey, we will observe local homes, prayer flags and gorgeous mountain landscapes.
The road gradually rises up and opens up more as we head to Chame. Chame is the capital of the Manang district, where there are tea houses, bakeries and other local shops. Once we arrive at Chame we will be able to take a rest and enjoy the mountain village in silence.

Day 03 Trek from Chame to Upper Pisang
Today we begin Chame, and trek to Upper Pisang at 3,300 m. The path is through the trees and open meadows, overlooking the majestic mountains of Marsyangdi River. We will have a glimpse of Annapurna II, Pisang Peak and other snow-covered mountains as we take the walk. The terrain will turn drier and drier and more open, and we will traverse wooden bridges and go through rocky mountain trails.
Upper Pisang is a traditional village with stone houses, prayer wheels, and monasteries influenced by Tibetan culture. Once in the village, we will be able to relax in a serene environment and have expansive views of the mountains and spend the night in a nearby tea house.

Day 04 Trek from Upper Pisang to Manang
Today we will continue our journey to Upper Pisang to Manang at a height of 3,500m. The trail traces the upper path through the villages such as Ghyaru and Ngawal, which are beautiful mountainous scenes with the local culture. Along the way we will pass monasteries, prayer flags, and traditional stone houses.
Some sections of the trail involve uphill walking, but the mountain scenery makes the hike rewarding.

Day 05 Acclimatization Day in Manang with Hike to Chhongkhor Viewpoint
This is a great acclimatising day in Manang today.
We will not sleep fully but hike a bit to Chhongkhor Viewpoint so our body can adapt to the elevation. The ascent offers some of the best views in the Annapurna range, the valleys and the village of Manang at the foot. Walking slowly at high altitude helps the body acclimatize before crossing Thorong La Pass.
We will have a restful afternoon after spending some time at the view point and then we will go back to Manang. Most of the trekkers use the free time to explore the village, visit bakeries, or to learn about the local mountain culture.

Day 06 Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka
Today we will leave from Manang and start our trek again to Yak Kharka at 4050m. The road slowly climbs up arid mountainous terrain, open hills and plowed lands where yaks from the area can be frequently seen. As we climb higher, the air becomes thinner and the vegetation becomes more limited. The walking will be at a normal pace, to help the adaptation to the altitude.
We will have a very peaceful environment, beautiful mountain views, during our trek. Yak Kharka is a small village, with a couple of tea houses, where trekkers stay overnight before heading towards Thorong Phedi. After arriving in the village we will take a rest and prepare for the higher altitude.

Day 07 Trek from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi or High Camp
Today we will continue our trek from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi at 4,500 m or High Camp at 4,800 m depending on weather conditions and the group’s condition. The trail consists of small mountain trails, and rocky crossing of small streams. We will take our time, because that section of the walk is steeply uphill.
On the way, we have the pleasure of seeing desert hills, snow mountains and expansive valleys. The base area prior to crossing Thorong La Pass is Thorong Phedi and High Camp is still higher. When we get to our night stop we will sleep early and get ready to go through the tough pass crossing

Day 08 Trek from Thorong Phedi to Muktinath over Thorong La Pass
Today is the longest and the hardest day of the trek. This will start early in the morning and slowly work our way up to Thorong La Pass at 5,416m. Although the path is steep and chilly, the hike is worth the effort for the stunning mountain vistas and serene atmosphere.
After reaching the top of the mountain we can enjoy prayer flags, beautiful views of the Himalayas, and then begin the long descent to Muktinath at 3,800m. The scenery changes rapidly as we enter the dry Mustang area. Muktinath is a sacred place of worship by both Hindus and Buddhists. When we reach the village, we will be able to take a good rest and sleep.

Day 09 Drive from Muktinath to Pokhara
Today we will complete our trekking part of our journey and drive back to Pokhara. The highway runs through the desert of the Mustang and then slopes down towards the fertile hills and river basins. During the drive, we will pass through villages like Jomsom, Tatopani, as we continue to pass through Kali Gandaki River.
Note: If you are interested in visiting the lake of Tilicho, continue the trek after Manang. It is then a ride of about another three days to get to the main Annapurna Circuit trail at Yak Kharka. Tilicho Lake is a high elevation lake in the world, which is surrounded with high mountains and quiet environment.
The road runs through stony roads and isolated mountainous area. This is an extension option that can be made available to trekkers who are willing to adventure further into the Annapurna area at a high price.
