Your Journey to Ama Dablam begins with a 35-40 minutes of flight from Kathmandu to Lukla airport same day we will hike to Phakding as we move forward we will move along the Dudh Koshi river inside the Sagarmatha National Park to the Sherpa Settlement Of Namche Bazar.Upon arriving to Namche Bazar we will have a day for acclimatization and exploration we will take the same routes like Everest Base Camp and once we reach to Pangboche we will head to Ama Dablam .From Ama Dablma you can enjoy the mountain views of some of the highest mountain which are Mt.Everest,Lhotse,Island Peak,Pumori,Lobuche Peak,Thamserku,Kongde peak,Tawoche Peak and many more.

Day 01 Arrive in Kathmandu , alt. 1300m
Our airport representative team will be at Tribhuvan International Airport waiting for your arrival .After you arrive at the airport they’ll escort you to your hotel on private vehicle depending upon the group size.In the afternoon you will meet your guide ,he.she will describe the pan for the trek

Day 02 Flight to Lukla (30 minutes ) and trek to Phakding 2610m. 3-4 hours
Today we will catch the early morning flight to Lukla which will take approximately 30-35 minutes .Once we land at Lukla our official trek starts we will hike for like 3-4 hours and reach Phakding passing through smaller village.The trail from Lukla to Phakding is well-marked and you’ll pass through the Sherpa villages,cross suspension bridge over Dudh Koshi river Along the way you’ll encounter various teahouses and lodges where you can rest and have meal.Phakding is the starting point for all the everest region trek

Day 03 Trek to Namche bazaar (alt 3400m), 5- 6 hours.
After having our breakfast we will set off for our destination for today which is Namche bazar .For today we will continue along the northern bank of the Dudh Koshi River.Continuing our trek when we each to Benkar we will see the snow capped peak Thamserku and Khumbila after crossing DudhKoshi River at Benkar we will walk towards Monjo Where we will take our Sagarmatha National Park permit.Once we reach Monjo from here the Sagarmatha National Park starts.from here we will descent and cross the Dudh Koshi river and we will reach Jorsale where we will have our lunch break and after resting for a while we will continue our trek then we will again cross the river and with some gradual ascent along the river then we will reach to the bottom of the Dudhkoshi and thame river.Today’s trek can be considered as the first challenging day as the trail is zigzag so,you might find it hard however if the weather is good then we will witness the first glimpse of Mt Everest once we reach to Namche .Namche ,the bustling market town and the gateway to the Khumbu region.

Day 04 Acclimatization day
We will spend another day at Namche Bazar as acclimatization as Namche Bazar is situated in elevation of 3440 meters(11286 feet),it serves as the acclimatization stop due to its gradual ascent from lower altitude.Todays break allows the body to reduced to adjust the oxygen level found at higher elevation ,minimizing the potential for altitude sickness. You can explore the Namche Bazaar and we can also trek to Everest View hotel from which we will have the magnificent view of Mt.Everest,Nuptse,Ama Dablam nd many other neighboring peaks.You can also visit the Hillary School ,visit monasteries etc

Day 05 Trek to Phortse (alt 3840m.) 5 hours
After staying in Namche for 2 days we will trek to Phortse.To get to the main trail we will have the gradual ascent.Once we reach to the main trails we will ascent to kyangjungma .As the trail ascends we will have the panoramic views of Everest and Lhotse emerge,creating a mesmerizing backdrop. the trail steep climbs up to reach Mongla Danda from here you will be gifted with the stunning view of Ama Dablam and Thamserku.Now the trail descends to Phortse Thanga ,following the left side and crossing the Dudhkoshi river we will reach Phortse-a small charming Sherpa village located at 3840m.In winter season Phortse holds the ice climbing training where many sherpa’s teach to those individual who are interested.

Day 06 Trek to Pangboche (alt 3,900m) 3- 4 hours.
Today’s trek offers a scenic and culturally enriching experience in the khumbu region.As we depart from the Phortse,we will ascend through the beautiful landscapes surrounded by the stunning views of the himalayan peaks.The trail leads through juniper forest as we continue our trek we will descend to Imja Khola river ,crossing a suspension bridge we will reach to Pangboche -renowned for ancient monasteries which holds the cultural and religious significance in the region situated at the elevation of 3930 meters(12,894 feet). Pangboche is the village from where many famous mountain climber are born.On the way you can also see their house and this village consist of monasteries which are 6-7 hundred years ago.For today’s highlight it’s the mesmerizing view of Tengboche monasteries,Mt Ama Dablam,Thamerku .

Day 07 Trek to Ama Dablam base camp (alt. 4580m) and return to Pangboche, alt. 3900m. 7-8 hours.
Today is the most highlighted day as we are hiking to the base camp of world beautiful Mt.Ama Dablam(4580m) which is renowned as the most beautiful mountain.We will set off early in the morning after having our hearty breakfast.At first we will descent and then cross the river.Once we steep climb to Cholungche Kharka we will gradually climb up to the Ama Dablam Base Camp.Ama Dablam provides you the 360 degree view of different mountain including Mt.Everest, Ama Dablam,Lhotse,Lobuche ,Mt.Pumori,Kangtega,Thamserku etc.In the base camp you will see lots of camping site where you will encounter those individual who are planning to conquer Mt.Ama Dablam mainly in the Autumn and spring season.We will have our lunch in the Base Camp and after Admiring the view from base camp for a while we will then proceed to return back to the Pangboche.It takes us 3 hour to reach to the Base Camp and 2 hours to return back once we are the teahouse we are staying in we will be served with the hot tea .

Day 08 Trek back to Namche bazaar via Tengboche Monastery, alt. 3800m. 6 hours.
For today as we are returning back most of the trail are downhill.Passing through the beautiful stones,river,crossing the suspension bridge,through the pine and rhododendron we will reach to Tengboche which will takes us about 3 hours .Upon arriving to Tengboche we will have our lunch break After Lunch we will descent to 500m to reach Phungi Thanga and cross river continuing our trek with ascending through the rhododendron forest and Lodges we will reach to Kyangjing gumba.Walking along the Dudh Koshi river passing through the rhododendron forest and waterfalls we will reach to Namche Bazar

Day 09 Trek back to Lukla (alt.2800m) 6- 7 hours.
After having the breakfast in Namche Bazar.We will descend towards the Dudhkosho River and cross the Hillary high suspension bridge over the Dudh koshi river and continue the walk through the dense forest .After reaching to the Monjo village,we will then check out at the Sagarmatha National Park permit .Continuing the trek by descending along the Dudh Koshi river ,passing through the Phakding where we will have our lunch and rest for a while we will pass through the several suspension bridge.Once we ascend gradually and pass through the Ghat and Chhelpung village we will reach to Lukla.

Day 10 Fly back to Kathmandu 30 minutes (alt 1300m) and transfer to your Hotel.
After returning to Lukla we will fly back to Kathmandu .After having early breakfast ,we will head towards the Tenzing Hillary airport after 30 minutes of thrilling flight to kathmandu .We will reach to kathmandu,then the guide will drop you off to your hotel.For today you can explore around the kathmandu valley since the flight is in morning .You can buy the souvenirs in the Thamel for your beloved ones.

Ama Dablam Difficulty
The Ama Dablam Base Camp trek is considered to be the moderate level in terms difficulty. The trail involves varying terrains, from well-trodden paths through sherpa village to steep ascents over rocky and icy surface as the elevation increases. This trek takes you to the elevation of 4500 meters(14,763 feet) so altitude related challenges might occur. While technical climbing skills are not necessary for this trek, a good level of physical fitness and stamina is required as you will be walking for around like 6-7 hours daily. You don’t need to be experienced one for this trek and novice trekkers can also do this trek however experience will likely find it more enjoyable and comfortable.
The trek condition can be demanding, with cold temperature, strong winds and potential of snow in higher altitudes. If you are planning for this trek then you need to consider the acclimatization day wisely and incase of symptoms of altitude sickness, it is important to inform your guide as they have done some training on first aid and they will also ensure your safety and well-being on the trek. We suggest you to prepare yourself by doing some hiking or cardiovascular exercise so that you will enjoy the trek more comfortably.
Trek accommodation
Trekking to Ama Dablam Base Camp is a moderate trip leading you to the highest altitude of 4,600m at the base of Mt. Ama Dablam 6,812m. Throughout the trek, trekkers will be staying in the tea houses & lodges.
The teahouses and the lodges provides the rooms with two single beds, mattresses, bedsheets, pillows, blankets, and tea tables. The toilet and bathroom are normally not attached inside the room. Some lodges will have attached toilets but normally at a lower altitude. It should be noted that as you move to the higher elevation you will not have the same facilities the quality will be slightly less than of lower elevation.
Best season:
Trekking to Ama Dablam is possible throughout the whole year however Autumn and spring are considered to be the best season as these two season offers the suitable weather with the better views and temperature.
Autumn season starts from September to November during this time the weather is generally clear and dry offering the stunning views. The temperature are cooler than in the summer making the trek more comfortable for the hikers. As the monsoon has just stop taking away all the dust and making the trails greenery. The whole nation is in festive mood as the two main festival falls in this season so the hospitality is even more than any other season. Overall, the autumn season provides an ideal window for the Amadablam Base Camp trek, combining pleasant weather, stunning views and more comfortable trekking experience.
Spring season in Nepal spans from March to May. During this time the weather is relatively mild and stable , with clear skies and pleasant temperatures. The colorful rhododendron flowers bloom, creating a breathtaking landscapes along the trail of Sagarmatha National Park. The visibility of the different mountain throughput the way is very good. The trails are also less slippery as the snow from the winter starts to melt.
Winter season last from December to February is generally not recommended for the Ama Dablam Base Camp trek. During this period temperature can drop significantly and harsh weather conditions including heavy snowfall can make the trek more challenging and dangerous. The trails may be icy and slippery and some tea houses along the route might be closed due to the extreme weather. However if you want to trek in winter season then it’s better to choose the suitable gear, clothing and company so that your safety will be ensure.
The monsoon season behind from the month of June to August, is also not ideal for the Ama Dablam Base Camp trek. The season brings the heavy rainfall, leading to the muddy and slippery trails, increased risk of landslides and reduced the visibility due to cloud and mist. The monsoon season can make the trekking routes unsafe and less accessible.
Meals
The Menu option for the Ama Dablam consists of traditional Asian and western items however as you go up the choices gets limited. For breakfast the options are like: pancakes, oatmeals, cornflakes, tost and omelets and hot drinks like: lemon tea, coffee, hot chocolate, masala tea, and black tea. For Lunch it’s Dhal Bhat (Rice with Lentils) with varieties of side dishes and
curry, MoMo, Noodles, Snacks, Potatoes, Various soup, and many more. For the dinner option is: Dhal-Bhat(Rice and Lentils)with various side dishes and curry, Thukpa, MoMo, Noodles, Salads etc .We recommend you to have the healthy food as we are going to the high altitude and daily walking of 6-7 hrs is required so choose to eat nutritious food which will give you the energy and stamina.
Acclimatization
When you go on the Ama Dablam Base Camp trek, it’s important to let your body get used to the higher altitudes. Take it slow as you climb up, so your body can adjust to the thinner air. Drink lots of water to stay hydrated and try to rest for a day or two at intermediate altitudes. Don’t forget to pay attention to how you feel – if you get headaches or feel dizzy, it’s important to descend to lower altitudes.
