Day 02 Visiting Pashupatinath temple

Day 03 Visit Budhanilkantha and swayambhunath temple
After a warm breakfast on the third day of your stay in Kathmandu you will visit two major world heritage sites in kathmandu such as a Budhnilkantha and Swayambhunath temple. One of our professional guides will lead today’s tour to famous sites.
Both sites are very popular and historic , cultural and religious heritage sites of Nepal. You will have a great time to learn about the history and culture of these old sites and then go back to the Hotel for lunch. and afternoon time to re- check your Yatra equipment and if you don’t have enough clothes or some items forgot to pack and then you can still buy them in Kathmandu at Thamel market.

Day 04 Trip preparation and fly to Nepalgunj in the afternoon.
Morning after 10: am we will receive our Tibet travel group visa from the nepal chinese embassy and today we will drive to airport and fly to Nepalgunj and drive to your hotel.
Nepalgunj is located far west of nepal border with india it is 1 hrs flight duration from kathmandu. As Nepalgunj is lower part of Nepal it will be very hot compared with the kathmandu and higher section of this yatra.
( For NRI group note: Day 2, Day 3 ,and day 4 till morning, official 3 days we need for your tibet travel visa obtained and received) If you are Nepali group or indian passport holders and then no need to spend day 2 or day 3 in kathmandu.

Day 05 Fly from Nepalgunj to Simikot by airplane - and continue to fly to Hilsa by Helicopter.
Early in the morning after breakfast , drive to the airport to catch your flight from Nepalgunj to Simikot (40 minutes ) through the beautiful scenery of the Nepalese western part of the himalayas , villages , and landscapes. After landing in Simikot one of our helicopter representatives will be waiting for your arrival and he will take you to the Helipad for another flight to Hilsa by Heli.
Each flight by helicopter 5 people will carry and it takes 40 to 45 minutes to reach from Simikot to Hilsa border. Once you arrive at the Hilsa border our tibet side guide will be waiting to welcome us and after completing all immigration formalities you will cross the border and drive to Taklakot. Taklakot is already in Tibet, China, so it is your first night in Tibet , Kailash region.

Day 06 Drive to Taklakot
For today we will take a drive from Hilesa to Taklakot which takes about 2 to 3 hrs ,covering approximately 22 kilometers.The journey starts from the small village of Hilsa,crosses the Karnali river and through the rugged,mountainous terrain.
As you cross the border into China,yatris will experience the dramatic views of the high-altitude plains.Upon arriving Taklakot ,bustling Tibet market you can enjoy the view of Mount Kailash and several Tibetian Buddhist cultural sites.

Day 08 Drive to Manasarovar lake
After having our rest day we will take a drive to Manasarovar which will take like enjoying the stunning views and you may see nomads and other mobile shopkeepers that are attired in beautiful traditional outfits.If the weather is clear then we will see the Holy Mt.Kailash and Lake Manasarovar (alt.14950 ft/4558m).
Manasarvor is a holy lake which is filled with fish and swans and is one of the freshwater in the world.As the sun stats to set we will see the stunning view as the area is filled with gold,hot spring and you may also encounter the wildlife.

Day 09 Morning puja , visit lake and Drive to Darchen
Early in the morning we will head to sacred lake Mansarovar to Bath as it holds the spiritual significance and after taking a bath we will then proceed to perform a special pooja of Lord Shiva overlooking Mount Kailash.
After that we make kora around the lake which might take like 4 to 5 hrs then we will go to visit the Chiu monastery and bathe in its natural hot spring.We will then drive 40 km to the village of Darchen.

Day 10 Drive to Tarbuche and trek to Dirapuk , 6-7 hours
After having breakfast early in the morning we will drive to Tarbuche which will take like 30 min after reaching there we will walk from there on .For those who have hire a horse and local porter you will meet them here.For those who are unable to undertake the full 3 day kailash parikrama,you can still join the group to Tarbuche and have a good darshan of Mount Kailash and Yamadawar.
In here there is small kailash gate and mani wall are built,so in here you can perform 3 time parikrama around this gate to fulfill your desire for the whole parikrama.Then we will return to Darchen on the same bus For those who are walking the trek will be 14 kilometers which will take 4-5 hrs.

Day 11 Trek to Zutulpuk over the Dolmala pass (alt.5600m)
Eleventh day will be the most difficult as well as the scared day we will start our day early in the morning at around 5 am we will cross the Jarok Donkhang and sky burial site Shiva Tsal(5330m) ,in where we will leave some old clothes/locks of hair/drops of blood as a wish for a new life after that we will ascend to the pass of Dolma-La.
After about 5km we will reach to the Lake Gaurikand which stands at an elevation of 5608m.As we reach to the top ,we will make an offering and conduct the meditation and then steep descent through the rocky path near rock outcrop called the Axe of Karma where it is believed the negative karma are cut off.And by the end of the day we will arrive at ZhutulPuk.

Day 12 Trek back to Darchen and drive back to Taklakot
Today,we will trek back to Darchen which lies around 6 km.It will take us about 3 hrs and after reaching to Darchen we will have our lunch after that we will drive back to Taklakot .Upon reaching to Taklakot we will check in at the guest house or lodge and rest for the night

During your stay in Kathmandu ,we will provide you with any kind of accommodation as per your preference.During the Trek,we’ll stay in lodges or homestay .In this type of accommodation there will be rooms which are usually shared with twin-bed some of the room might have attached bathrooms while some might not.Additionally, Dining room is common where you can enjoy the meals with other yatris who might share the same interest like yours.
Is it compulsory to have Insurance during the Kailash Yatra ?
We highly suggest Yatris to have Medical insurance which covers the emergency evacuation so that you will have that peace of mind during the Yatra .Having comprehensive medical insurance provides you the financial protection against medical expenses which might occur.So make sure you have the proper insurance for the Yatra.
How to Prepare for Mount Kailash Yatra ?

Minimum you have to start preparing in the last 6 months from your Yatra start dates. Best Season for mount kailash and lake Manasarovar tour

How to process the Tibet Travel Visa and permit
Mount Kailash Manasarovar yatra by helicopter Yatra requires a group visa and invitation letter or permits from Tibet tourism board (TTB) for visa application from Nepal. After your trip confirmation we will process your documents for permits and according to permits and travel date we will apply for your Tibet travel group visa.
Tibet travel group Visa
We will obtain the visa through the Nepal Chinese Embassy entering Tibet.For this you need documents like Passport,completed visa application form,recent passport-sized photos and detailed travel itinerary.
Tibet Travel Permit (TTP)
This permit is essential for entry into Tibet.It is the first permit we need to obtain for Traveling to tibet.Without this Yatris might not be able to travel to Mount Kailash.The Tibet Tourism Board will issue this visa so yatris must book this trip in advance inorder to obtain the permit.
IF you book the Yatra with us then you don’t need to worry about it, you just need to send us a scanned copy of your passport and photos ,then we will apply for the permit on your behalf.
Foreign affairs permit
Foreign affairs permit is required to travel to the sensitive region of the Tibet region such as Mt.Kailash and other remote area.Lhasa Foreign Affairs Office will issue these permits for which you need to present your China Visa,Tibet Travel Permit and your passport.
Military Permit
Military permit is necessary for traveling to sensitive borders areas like Ngari,Nyingchi and some parts of Everest Base Camp.Passport,Tibet Travel Permit and travel itinerary is required for this permit so you can just send the documents and we will arrange the permit for you
Alien’s Travel Permit (ATP)
While going on this yatra ,we will be traveling through unopened areas of Tibet such as Xigatse ,Ngari,Lhokha ,Chamdo and Nyingchi so we need to apply for Aliens Travel permit which is issued by the Tibetan Local Public Security Bureau.The processing for this permit can be only done once we reach to Tibet so yatris need to bring original passport,China Visa and Tibet Travel Permit and for this tibetan guide will help to process it for you.
Special permit for Indian Nationalities:
If you are Indian Yatri then the rule might be slightly different .The Foreign Office of the Tibetan Autonomous Region(TAR),the Tibet Military, the Tibet Border Guard Corps of the Armed Police and the Public Security Department of the Tibetan Autonomous region issue the Tibet visa for the Indian citizens.

If you are prepared mentally and physically both There is no age restriction on age below 75 years old travelers. In our last 20 years of experience in this field 100s of pilgrims visit with ages of over 70- 80 and more than 90% people have successfully completed the full yatra. But as always we recommend organizing your tour with a professional team who has been doing this over the years and years. If you are with an unprofessional team and who doesn’t know much about organizing yatra it might also cause problems during the tour for older people.
