Day 02 Visit Pashupatinath, Jal Narayan & Swayambhunath – Alt: 1,400m / Hrs: 4–6 hrs
These days will start from Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most hallowed Hindu shrines in service of Lord Shiva. You’ll watch the periest performing rituals on the banks of the Bagmati River, and consider the holy cremation ghats, which is a deep reflection of life and spirituality. Next, you visit Budhanilkatha Temple, also known as the Jal Narayanthan Temple, a peaceful temple filled with water and lush greenery, and carries its own importance within Hindu culture. Day 08 Pokhara sightseeing (Pumdikot, Peace Pagoda, Davis Fall, Mahendra Cave, Tal Barahi, boating) – Alt: 820m / Hrs: 5–7 hrs
You will spend your morning today, first, visiting Pumdikot shova Temple; the temple lies on quite hilltop. Surrounded by pine forests, the temple offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Your guide will explain the significance of lord shiva in the local belief and how pilgrims come here seeking blessings for prosperity and spiritual growth.
Next you will go to Peace Pagode-Shanti Stupa. This whitw domed stugpas symbolized harmony and world peace. While walking up the path lined with prayer flags, you notice small shrines, prayer wheels, and monks in quiet meditation. From the stupas platform, 360-degree views of Fewa Lake, Pokhara City, and snow-capped mountains are unforgettable.
The next thing after that is the Davis fall: thrilling water falling from the Pardi Khola in a deep, hidden tunneled structure with a thunderous roar. You will also visit Mahendra cave-fascinating limestone cave adorned. It’s a mysterious subterranean world that has captured explorers and locals for generations. Continuing on that day, you will go to Tal Barahi Temple lying on a small island in Fewa lake. Take a traditional wooden boat to the temple dedicated to the Goddess Barahi.

Trip Information
Pashupatinath Temple
Pashupatinath is one of the most sacred Hindu temples dedicated to the lord Shiva and a major UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built in the 5th centuries and later expanded by later kings, it stands along the bank of the holy river bagmatu. Ancient shrines, sacred lingams, and traditional cremation ghats make up the temple complex, a symbol of life’s journey toward liberation. Pilgrims from all parts of the world come to Pashupatinath to seek blessings from the protector of all living beings and a granter of ‘miksha’ or salvation.
Budhanilkantha (Jal Narayan Temple)
Budhanilkantha, also called Jal Narayan, houses a remarkable 5-meter stone statue of lord Vishnu reclining on the cosmic serpent Shesh Nag in a sacred pond. This 7th-century statue is believed to be self-manifested. The serene water and lush greenery around the temple make it a peaceful place of devotion. Devotees believe Lord Vishnu here represents eternal rest and cosmic harmony.
Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple)
Swayambhunath is one of the oldest Buddhist sabturies in the world, dating back over 2,500 years. According to the legend, it rose from a lotus that blossomed in the once-existing Kathmandu lake. The all-seeing Buddha eyes on the stupa represent wisdom and compassion. A sacred place for both Hindus and Buddhists, this place in the hill offers panoramic views of Kathamndu and a peaceful spiritual atmosphere filled with prayer wheels, shrines, and chanting monks.
Maya Devi Temple
This is the exact birthplace of Prince Siddhartha Gautam (Buddha) in 623 BCE. Inside the temple is this sacred stone marking the spot where Queen Maya Devi gave birth. Adjacent to it is the Sacred pond where she bathed before her delivery. The tranquility outside, combined with the ancient gardens, creates a deeply meditative ambiance.
Bindabasini Temple
Bindabasini Temple is one of the oldest temples of Pokhara and is dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati, a manifestation of Durga. It was believed to be installed by King Prithivi Narayan Shah in the 18th century and is located on a hilltop overlooking the Himalayas and the Pokhara Valley. Devotees visit for protection, strength, and prosperity blessings.
Pumdikot Shiva Temple
Constructed on a peaceful, Pumdikot temple houses one of Nepal’s grand Shiva statues; thus, it is gradually gaining momentum as a big spiritual landmark amidst the greenery with panoramic Himalayan views. World Peace Pagoda (Shanti Stupa)

Tal Barahi Temple
Tal Barahi Temple Located at an island in the middle of Fewa Lake, Tal Barahi temple is dedicated to Goddess Barahi-the protector deity of Pokhara. Accessible only by boats, this temple combines natural beauty and divine devotion. It is believed that worshiping here provides one with courage, power, and prosperity.
Davis Falls
So named because of an unfortunate accident in 1961 involving a Swiss tourist, this used to be a powerful underground waterfall where the water of the pardi Khola actually disappeared into a deep limestone tunnel. It symbolizes nature and time, with all their uncontrollable force, through this natural wonder. Mahendra Cave A natural limestone cave boasting magnificent rock formations and holy shrines inside. It has been named after King Mahendra and houses a naturally formed Shivalinga worshipped by locals. The mysterious chambers inside the cave have kept explorers and pilgrims fascinated for decades.
Muktinath Temple.
Muktinath means “Lord of Salvation” and is a very sacred temple for both Hindus and Buddhists. The Temple is located at an altitude of 3,800m above the Himalayas and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Pilgrims purify themselves by bathing under 108 sacred water spouts and visiting the internal flame fed by natural gas symbolizing the union of fire and water. It represents spiritual liberation and freedom from the cycle of birth and rebirth.
